Guidelines

Our community is built on respect, openness and presence. Together we create a space that is inclusive and safe, so everyone can explore their own inner experience. We do this through:

  • no conversations on the dance floor
  • no phones or photos
  • respect towards each other’s boundaries and NOs
  • seeking consent in our interactions (through an inviting eye gaze, a smile or a verbal YES)
  • no substances

♡ It is much encouraged to use your voice during the dance — it can be very transformative and powerful. Also to invite contact with others (always accepting a NO).

Community vibe

We believe that when we move freely, we reconnect with parts of ourselves that everyday life often asks us to silence. We believe that movement is our best meditation, and expression is our best healer. The dance floor becomes a place where we can practice radical honesty, self-acceptance and freedom — both individually and together.

Inspired by the wisdom of the five elements — earth, water, fire, wind and space — the journey moves through different qualities of movement and energy. You’ll be gently guided to slow down, arrive in your body, and become aware of your inner landscape. You may notice sensations, emotions, memories or impulses to move in unexpected ways. Rather than trying to change or control these sensations, we practice meeting them with curiosity, compassion and presence.

5 Elements Ecstatic Dance is a guided free movement practice that invites you to explore yourself in movement and connection. No previous dance experience needed, no choreography to follow. You are invited to move exactly as you are, to listen to your body and allow it to express what words often can’t.

Our wish is simple — we want to create a place where you feel welcome exactly as you are. A place to move, feel, express and connect to your humanness, together with others. It’s so vital that we remember that we are not alone in this human experience. Together we create a space of healing, transformation and movement!

Bring anyone you think would be curious! You are all invaluable to us! ♡

We want an open dialogue with our community (that’s you!) — don’t hesitate to reach out ♡

Getting here & accessibility

Kompani 415
Marketenterivägen 1, 415 27 Göteborg

The closest tram stop is Bellevue (or Kviberg). From Bellevue, follow Kvibergsvägen straight towards the castle-like building for about 10 minutes, until you see a yellow house on your left (that’s Kompani 415!) — turn left onto Marketenterivägen.

The closest bus stop is Kvibergsskolan. When you get off the bus, just walk one minute back (with the “castle” on the right side of the road) until you see a yellow house on your right (that’s Kompani 415!) — turn right onto Marketenterivägen.

There’s also car parking on the opposite side of the road.

The dance hall is located on ground level and the entrance is accessible by a ramp with a handrail.

Dance is to me one of the most powerful tools for personal development. I have studied dance and movement therapy and have been to many courses in personal development where movement has been a core component. Through movement I have worked through some of the toughest years of my life. In 2021 I started my journey at 5 Elements Ecstatic Dance as a volunteer, and am now a facilitator.

Navi Camilla Säregård

I am a Somatic Coach and Circling Facilitator. I have worked with body, communication and presence for over 10 years. Before that it was all about martial arts, survival and music for me, and the art of understanding the body and life well enough to find ways and creativity, and dance with everything one can imagine facing, even violence and danger. Basically, I’m still on the same track. I want to pass on tools that create opportunities for others to blossom into their unique form, with their unique superpowers, and turn what has been difficult into an asset.

Dance can mean so much to us and has always been a significant part of all cultures. My intention is to support how liberating dance can be for us, while also emphasizing the sense of community it allows us to experience. I have worked as a movement coach and group fitness instructor in Gothenburg for eight years. I am also involved in running the concept The Groovement, which hosts regular events in Gothenburg.

I have been going to 5 Elements for years and it has helped me express the parts of me that are wordless. In the beginning I practiced just feeling safe enough to dance how I wanted to. Now I feel that freedom and I come to also move with the themes and emotions that are alive in my life. This dance is like therapy for me. I also come to enjoy my body, have fun and be around playful people. I have studied music, psychology, Internal Family Systems and done many courses and retreats in the areas of personal development. I’m excited to step into the role as facilitator and explore this aspect of myself more in the beautiful space that 5 Elements is.

Anna Lindh

I started 5 Elements Dance in Gothenburg in 2018. I am a 5 Elements Dance facilitator, a certified personal coach, and a meditation teacher. I have also studied psychology and dance and movement therapy. My goal is to help people find their way back to themselves through free movement, creative expression, and guided meditations. I love creating spaces where people can meet in authenticity and loving presence, beyond facades and the stress of everyday life. Self-compassion, self-love, and acceptance are at the core of everything I create and guide, often sprinkled with a generous dose of playfulness and joy!
